Perfume Archive
Liminus oil-based perfumes are produced in tiny quantities. Ephemeral and perfumed celebrations of Tasmanian seasonality - this archive is a record of limited edition captures of time and place. Nine one-off editions were released and they have led to a permanent collection in the Four Seasons Range.
Release #1
An experiment in December 23 (only 10 were made). This scent celebrated hot Hobart Summer days in the lead-up to New Years Eve 2023 with an oil-based perfume that featured a powerful Jasmine and Tasmanian Mountain Pepperberry accord. SOLD OUT
Release #2
Summer 24 release was inspired by frolics amongst the Tasmanian lavender and lavandin harvest. A lavender top note was married with the rounded sweetness of honeysuckle blooms, coriander and clary sage. SOLD OUT
Release #3
Autumn 24 was a hit. Selling out four batches with an unconventional blend of Tasmanian rosemary and dark sweet woods. Capturing the moment when the air shifts; the sea is still warm (for Tasmania) and mornings are crisp. A warm woody base of Australian Buddah Wood with a fresh herbal palette of Tasmanian rosemary. Release #4
Winter 24 paired Tasmanian fennel and vanilla to captured a feeling of cosy cold. Tasmanian Fennel brought sparkle and spice complemented with the cool mellow style of Australian Blue Cyprus. A scent to wear by the fire or in the snow, spiced and cool. SOLD OUT
Release #5
Spring 24 was herbaceous and floral, golden daffodils and wattle putting on a show, bud burst and the grass to mow...Tasmanian Parsley lent a sweet and familiar green note. Rose and neroli hinted at flowers yet to bloom. Amyris Wood provided a subtle and sturdy base for new beginnings and vibrant growth. SOLD OUT
Release #6
Citrus forward, Summer 25 was ready to dance in the sun with a Tasmanian gin cocktail. Juniper, citrus, the gentle warmth of Buddah Wood and a dash of Tasmanian rosemary combined for beach time, warm evenings and socialising. SOLD OUT
Release #7 - Autumn 25
Autumn is no longer in production, but the last bottles remain. Spicy floral woods with the complexity of Tasmanian Mountain Pepperberry, Black Pepper, Amyris and Ho wood oil. A comforting scent for unsettled times. Ho Wood, the oil of peace, lends symbolic intent.
Release #8 - Winter 25
Nutmeg. Spice. Gourmand. A bit delicious and a little frosty. Cloves & cinnamon are lifted by the fresh sparkle of Tasmanian Mountain Pepper. A perfume to accompany you through winter and connect you to the awe and introspection of cold winds and biting air.
The current release #9 is in production - Spring 25
Fresh & green with Tasmanian peppermint and hops. This limited seasonal release natural oil perfume is natural, unisex and bursting with promise. Tasmanian peppermint, Derwent Valley hops and nutmeg play over a base of Buddahwood and benzoin.
