Tasmanian Perfume

Liminus is a Tasmanian perfume studio connecting scent, people, place and memory.

The journey began with a bottle of artisan perfume bought on a family holiday in France. I wore it every day - in castles, hiking, on golden evenings strolling cobbled village lanes, it was a powerful link between scent and experience. Once I was home in Tasmania, vivid memories remained.

When that bottle ran out, I thought for a long time about connections between scent and place.  I wondered if it was possible to create a perfume with Tasmania at its heart?

Also, should I step away from a twenty year environment career to give this idea a chance?

Very slowly, Liminus was born.

I craft each perfume by hand, using botanical materials. Every perfume includes Tasmanian ingredients.  My perfumes evoke a feeling of place, a season, or a story. Underpinning all this, is my belief that scent connects us deeply to nature.

Liminus perfume is made slowly, using small-batch production methods and materials selected with care for the land.  Packaging is minimal, refillable, and thoughtful — every refill sold contributes to the important work of protecting Tasmanian nature through the Tasmanian Land Conservancy.  If you'd like to know more about Liminus and sustainability, look here.
